Fire and water are 2 themes I’m working on in my studio at the moment. We had a Superbowl party here and someone who will remain nameless, came up with the idea of after we lit off some fireworks that we’d light our bush, actually a perennial grass on fire for kicks. Children and adults enjoyed quite a show which made our fireworks seem pale and wimpy in comparison. 
The photos I took helped immensely with the completion of this encaustic painting. Thanks, Eric!
