Inspiring Artists

I’ve recently started using Pinterest. If you’re a visual person then you will love it. I’m sharing 2 of the artists from my board of inspiring Art. I seem to like work that is mostly abstract but seems to allude to something in nature. I guess that’s not a surprise.

Bobbette Rose‘s encaustic monotypes are so beautiful. Here’s an excerpt from her artist statement.”Inspired by the relationship between the organic wildness of the natural world and the human order we try to create from it, I’m drawn to the inherent beauty and spirit revealed in our post-industrial landscapes. I delve into what lies beneath our surfaces, and reveal the fragility of the structures we build within of growth and decay, memory and the passage of time.”

Bill Gingles works in acrylic and says of his work “Each new painting reveals its own tendencies and surprises as it comes to life. Rather like children from the same parents, they are each at once individuals and siblings. It is because the life they share with each other is the life they drew from me.”

I enjoy the mysteriousness of his work.
